Of all the things those hit your paint, bugs and tars have to be theworst. These sticky substances stick to your clear coat and usually
can’t be detached just by washing. If you leave them as it is in your
paint, they can destroy the clear coat and permit contaminants to
pierce to the undercoats. To remove these bugs and tars wash the car
thoroughly and make sure all dirt is gone. Then, use denatured alcohol
to eliminate bugs, tar and tree sap. If it is a bug, simply wipe
lightly with the soft cloth, moving from the exterior towards the
center. If it is tar or sap, use the "pre-soak" to make softer it up.
Do not wipe in a circular pattern. Repeat steps turning your cloth to a
clean area for each bug/tar/sap. Rinse the car completely to remove any
traces of contaminants and/or denatured alcohol. And finally, you must
wax your car after doing all these things.
